Stags Win MAAC Volleyball Championship

ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Advances to a Conference-Best 13th NCAA Postseason

For the 13th time in program history, ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ University Volleyball is the champion of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The Stags knocked off defending champion Quinnipiac, 3-1, at Leo D. Mahoney Arena on Sunday, Nov. 19, to reclaim the conference crown. Maya Walker '26 was named the Championship MVP.

In addition to the team's MAAC-leading 13th conference title, the Stags won the MAAC Regular Season Championship for the 22nd time in the last 28 seasons. Head Coach Nancy Somera is the first coach to win the MAAC in their first season at the helm since Kris Zeitler led Iona to the title in 2004.

As the MAAC Champions, the Stags traveled to West Lafayette, Indiana, to challenge third-seeded Purdue in the NCAA Championship First Round on Thursday, Nov. 30. The Stags saw their championship season come to an end against the Boilermakers by a score of 3-0.
