ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Ranked No. 28 Nationally for Best Undergraduate Teaching by U.S. News & World Report

ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ is distinguished among the Top 125 Best National Universities—and Top 75 among private institutions, coming in at 61st. The Charles F. Dolan School of Business jumped 46 spots to No. 118 for Best Undergraduate Business Programs, and was ranked No. 16 for Business Analytics, No. 17 for Marketing, No. 17 for Finance, and No. 28 for Accounting.

ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ University ranked No. 28 for Best Undergraduate Teaching in the National Universities category in the 2024 U.S. News & World Report Best College Rankings, moving up one spot from the No. 29 berth in 2023. ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ’s overall rank in the National Universities category this year is No. 124 in a tie with 8 other schools.

Among Connecticut institutions in the Best National University category, ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ University was ranked only behind Yale University and UCONN. 

“ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ’s rise over recent years has elevated the University as one of the best investments in American higher education and one of the most respected Jesuit Catholic institutions in the country,” said ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ University President Mark R. Nemec, PhD.

Last year, ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ University moved into the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education’s Doctoral Universities category and entered the Best National Universities ranking for the first time placing among U.S News & World Report’s Top 125 Best National Universities. The University was the top-ranked institution among schools that moved into the National Universities category.

ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ’s second year on the Best National Universities list also includes recognition in the Best Value Schools – National Rankings category where the University is ranked No. 140, up 7 spots from 2023.

Programs in the Charles F. Dolan School of Business, Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing & Health Studies Program, and the School of Engineering and Computing are highlighted in program specialty rankings. The Dolan School jumped 46 spots to No. 118 for Best Undergraduate Business Programs and was ranked No. 16 for Best Undergraduate Business Programs – Business Analytics; No. 17 for Best Undergraduate Business Programs – Marketing (up 20 spots); No. 17 Best Undergraduate Business Programs –Finance (up 4 spots); And No. 28 Best Undergraduate Business Programs –Accounting (up 11 spots). ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ’s School of Engineering & Computing was ranked No. 86 in the Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs category (No Doctorate), and the Egan School was ranked 112 for Best Undergraduate Nursing Programs.

According to U.S. News & World Report, “U.S. News evaluated nearly 1,500 U.S. four-year bachelor’s degree-granting institutions on as many as 19 measures for its 39th rankings edition.”
