The Stags have won 25 consecutive games.
On the heels of a 25-game winning streak, ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ University Women’s Basketball has earned a place in the Associated Press Top 25. The Stags checked in at #25 this week – their first-ever appearance in the national polls. At 27-1 overall and 19-0 in the MAAC, ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ has locked up the MAAC Regular Season Championship and top seed in the upcoming MAAC Tournament.
ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ is only the fourth MAAC program to earn a place in the AP Top 25, joining Marist (2008, 2009, 2011), Saint Peter’s (1986) and former MAAC institution La Salle (1988, 1989).
"This is a momentous occasion for our program," Head Coach Carly Thibault-DuDonis said. "I came to ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ knowing it was a special place — with the infrastructure, the support from the top, and incredible people — that was set up to be in the national conversation every season... We are grateful that our consistency has been rewarded by the voters and we're going to keep working hard so that today isn't a crescendo, but rather a launching point to even bigger accomplishments."
