Thirteen student-athletes earned the Athletics Department’s major annual awards.
On April 30 at Leo D. Mahoney Arena, ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ University Athletics presented its 2023-24 student-athlete awards. The award ceremony recognized the academic year's top performers in competition, in the classroom, and around campus.
Four Stags were tabbed as Athletes of the Year: Caleb Fields (basketball) and Bryce Ford (lacrosse) shared the men’s awards, while the duo of Janelle Brown (basketball) and Elizabeth Talluto (lacrosse) were co-winners of the women’s honor. The Men’s Co-Rookies of the Year were Julian Radossich (lacrosse) and Andrew Cataldo (swimming and diving), while Meghan Andersen (basketball) earned Women’s Rookie of the Year.
Top academic honors went to graduating seniors Michael Hamilton (rowing) and Elle Scott (soccer), as the Alumni Association Scholar-Athletes of the Year.
The William Wallin Award is presented to the student-athlete or student-athletes who best embody Wallin’s “sportsmanship, character, and leadership, on and off the field.” This year’s recipients were Allie Bridgman (softball) and Evan Keiser (lacrosse).
Finally, Vice President for Athletics Paul Schlickmann presented the Athletics Director Awards to Ethan Hibbard (baseball) and Libby Rowe (lacrosse).
In addition to the individual awards, ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Athletics recognized its seniors and graduate students for their dedication throughout their Stags careers.
