ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Men’s Lacrosse is one of six undefeated teams in the nation.
ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ University men's lacrosse – one of four remaining unbeaten teams in Division I – entered the USILA Coaches' Poll this week at #17 in the nation. The Stags also moved up one spot to #17 in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll and remained at #20 in the USA Lacrosse Top 20.
ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ earned a national ranking in the USILA Poll for the first time since slotting at #20 in the preseason edition of the 2017 rankings. ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ's #17 position is its best in the coaches' poll since ranking #14 in the penultimate poll of the 2014 campaign. The Stags' best-ever national ranking is #11, also achieved in 2014.
Most recently, the Stags rolled past St. John’s by a score of 20-8 on Tuesday afternoon to improve to 6-0. ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ is one win shy of matching the best start in program history, which was achieved in 2012. Seven consecutive wins would also match the longest winning streak ever for the men’s lacrosse team, achieved in 2005 and matched in 2012 and 2014.
The Stags are back in action on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium this Saturday, March 8 for a noon face-off against UMass Lowell.
