Join us for an interactive evening for the whole family at the ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ University Store.
The holidays can often feel like a whirlwind, filled with responsibilities and expectations, particularly for parents who are juggling the demands of creating memorable experiences for their families. In anticipation of the upcoming holiday season, ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ University invites you to join us for on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ University Store, 1499 Post Road, in downtown ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ.
The evening will be led by Linda Roney, EdD, RN-BC, FAAN, associate professor of nursing at the Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing & Health Studies, and Paula Gill Lopez, PhD, chair of the Psychological & Educational Consultation department, and director of the School Psychology program housed within the School of Education & Human Development. Dr. Roney and Dr. Gill Lopez will share effective tips for navigating holiday stress with mindfulness and gratitude.
Parents and caregivers are invited to bring their children or other family members. While the adults participate in guided mindfulness activities, ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ University nursing and psychology students will lead fun holiday craft projects for the kids in a nearby breakout room.
This free event is part of the University's new Campus Connect monthly speaker series, designed to share university research and expertise with the community.
