Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

The Department of Public Safety offers Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the curriculum of the American Heart Association. This certificate program enables the student to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) functions in a life threatening situation.

This eight hour course consists of both lecture and hands-on instruction and participants will be provided with manual and training equipment. This course is taught by ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ University Public Safety Officers who are certified as CPR Instructors.

Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.)

The Department of Public Safety offers Rape Aggression Defense Training (R.A.D.), a nationally recognized self defense program for women. The R.A.D. system teaches easy, effective, and proven self defense tactics and is designed to provide women with the knowledge to make an educated decision about resistance.

Each course consists of four 4 hour classes in which participants are provided with manuals, equipment and supplies. This course is taught by ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ University Public Safety officers who are nationally certified R.A.D. Instructors.

Cost: No charge - donations welcome.
